Jose Berrios struck out Caleb Joseph with a curveball that was pure sorcery

It's still early in the season, but Twins phenom José Berríos seems to be rounding into his phenom form. After beating the Orioles, 4-3, on Wednesday, the 23-year-old is 3-0 with a 1.66 ERA and 22 strikeouts. MLB.com's Matt Kelly wrote up a great analysis of Berrios' three starts thus far and how he was able to get his fastball by O's hitters. Honestly though, we're still watching this ridiculous-looking breaking ball he unleashed upon Caleb Joseph:

That's not a wiffleball and there are no special effects at work. That is a baseball -- perhaps one of his sweeping varieties that can double as a slider. Joseph struck out on it (can you blame him?) and struck out again during the contest -- two of seven K's for Berrios. Sorry, Caleb, and any future hitters who have to step in the box against the man they call "La Maquina."
