The unpredictability of Major Leaguers can be one of the most amusing aspects of the game. At any time, you could see something you haven't seen before -- whether an actual in-game moment or something more ... extracurricular.
In the sixth inning of Chicago's eventual 5-4 loss to the Dodgers in Los Angeles, White Sox slugger Jose Abreu clubbed a solo homer into the Left Field Pavilion against Yu Darvish (making his Dodger Stadium debut). That's a typical Abreu highlight, him smashing dingers and trotting around the bases.
But upon returning to the dugout, Abreu picked up a blue recycling/garbage can and enthusiastically carried it around, encouraging his teammates to throw items inside:
Why not, right? Any celebration is a celebration if you have fun doing it, after all.
