Revenge usually doesn't happen immediately. Most of the time it involves long periods of stewing and planning. Not on Thursday night. It started in the top of the first inning of the Twins-Red Sox game when Jackie Bradley Jr. showed off his laser arm to get Joe Mauer at the plate. Just look how close Mauer was to the plate before Bradley had even fielded the ball:
One inning later, Mauer got his payback. After Mookie Betts grounded out, Bradley tried to advance to third. Like Dennis Nedry in "Jurassic Park," Mauer said "Nuh uh-uh."
In the end, the Twins would take the advantage. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth and trailing, 2-1, Bradley struck out swinging against Fernando Rodney to end the game.
