Jesse Chavez and Josh Ravin pitched back-to-back at Chavez Ravine, just as was always intended

Dodger Stadium is nestled in a ravine, more specifically Chavez Ravine. The canyon houses the Elysian Park neighborhood, several nice parks and is in very close proximity to the Stadium itself -- so much so that the stadium is sometimes referred to, simply, as Chavez Ravine.
In the Dodgers' 10-2 win over the D-backs on Monday night, something took place that had not happened before at the Stadium: Jesse Chavez, acquired by the Dodgers earlier this summer, and Josh Ravin teamed up for two innings of relief in the eighth and ninth.
Get it? It looked like this in the box score:
As he told MLB.com's Jack Baer after the game, Ravin was at least aware of the possibility of this event taking place once he was called up earlier this week, and it came back to him when Chavez was summoned on Monday night:
"When he started warming up, I thought about it because when I came up, I overheard someone say 'There's a possibility we could have Chavez Ravin.' It's cool, I don't know. I doubt that will ever happen again."
DISCLAIMER
Yes, it is true that Ravin's name is not pronounced ravine -- rather, it rhymes with "Gavin" -- but, just as the old adage "it's a line drive in the box score" exonerates bloop hits and swinging bunts from any potential criticism, we'll allow this since the mere fact of a Chavez and a Ravin pitching at Chavez Ravine is just too appropriate to deny.
