Jason Kipnis watched his Indians' Opening Day win while at the NCAA title game

The Indians opened their 2017 season in Arlington, facing off against Yu Darvish and the Rangers -- but without second baseman Jason Kipnis, who is starting the season on the 10-day disabled list.
Kipnis, who celebrated his 30th birthday on Monday, spent his evening somewhere other than the ballpark on account of that DL stint. In fact, Kipnis (a product of Arizona State University) headed to the University of Phoenix Stadium to take in the NCAA national championship Game that the North Carolina Tar Heels won, 71-65, over the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
But, since baseball is life, Kipnis couldn't help but tune in to Cleveland's game against Texas ... and did just that using the At Bat app, as he proudly documented on Instagram:
Multi-tasking: It's a good skill to have!
And Kipnis probably enjoyed his evening even more once his Indians won, 8-5, to begin their 2017 season. MLB.com's Jordan Bastian spoke to UNC alum Andrew Miller -- asking him if he was jealous his teammate was at the title game:
"I'd rather be here winning a big league ballgame. I just hope I get to watch. I hope the bus has TVs."
Fortunately for Miller, the Tar Heels pulled out the 71-65 victory.
