James Paxton's trade to the Yankees is great news for bald eagles in the greater New York area
The Hot Stove is officially lit, as the Yankees struck a deal with the Mariners on Monday for left-handed starter James Paxton in a trade centered around New York's top prospect, Justus Sheffield.
It's a pretty big trade for obvious reasons, with the hard-throwing Paxton taking his talents to a suddenly stacked Yankees starting rotation -- but on another level, the gains for New York are bountiful ... especially for bald eagles in the greater Bronx area.
You may recall this from April of last season:
Notice how Paxton, the tall lefty from Canada known as "Big Maple," was hardly bothered by a sharp-clawed eagle fluttering about and using his shoulders as a landing area. Dude is tough.
