Jaff Decker channels his inner Kevin Kiermaier, robs Spring Training homer for Rays

If we told you that a Rays center fielder sprinted back to the outfield wall and made an incredible, leaping catch to pull back a would-be home run with his outstretched arm, it probably wouldn't be startling news because that's just another day at the office for Kevin Kiermaier. 'Cept this time it wasn't Kevin Kiermaier doing Kevin Kiermaier things ... it was Jaff Decker doin' 'em.
Decker is a 26-year-old outfielder whom the Rays signed to a Minor League deal during the offseason. The former Padre and Pirate has just 41 games of MLB experience under his belt, but he did pitch an inning for the Buccos last season and got Joey Votto to swing and miss at a changeup:

He temporarily put his pitching career on hold to chase down those outfield dreams -- and potential homers, apparently -- with the Rays at Spring Training. Decker was manning left field in Grapefruit League action when Reid Brignac launched a ball to deep center, where Decker used every inch of his wingspan to pull it back from yonder:

That might be the best Kiermaier impression we've ever seen.
