Holiday parade grand marshal Ben Zobrist was honored with his own day in Tennessee

The calendar recently changed over to December, which means that Christmas is rapidly approaching -- so if you haven't begun your shopping yet, you'd best get going.
It's also time for holiday parades to start popping up in communities around the country, as one did on Saturday in Franklin, Tenn. ... with grand marshal Ben Zobrist.

Yep, the man responsible for the game-winning RBI in Game 7 of the Cubs' first World Series championship since 1908 was not just leading a parade, but the mayor of Franklin even named the day after the super-utility player.
Zobrist's extended victory lap continued on Saturday, perhaps better known as Ben Zobrist Day in Franklin:

That's a pretty sweet tribute to Zobrist, who lives in Franklin, a suburb of Nashville, and his family. Naturally, all were all on hand for Saturday's festivities, naturally:

Not a bad way to spent a winter day -- literally being paraded around town simply for being you.
