Gleyber Torres, MLB's No. 3 prospect, swung so hard he ended up in the dirt

This is Gleyber Torres.

At 20 years old, he is the Yankees' No. 1-ranked prospect and the third ranked prospect in all of MLB. He styles his game after Miguel Cabrera, led the Arizona Fall League with a .403 batting average as its youngest player and, according to his MLB Pipeline scouting report, is "very advanced at the plate."
But his status as baseball wunderkind does not preclude moments like this one during the Pirates-Yankees Spring Training matchup on Sunday.

Torres took a big hack at a pitch from Pittsburgh's Nick Kingham and, well, swung a little too hard, apparently.
That at-bat ended with a groundout, but in the fifth inning, he launched a triple into the right-field corner. Wunderkind status: Preserved.
