Great defense comes in many forms -- from infielders to outfielders to catchers to even that rarest of positions, Bartolo himself.
Luckily though, no matter which path you choose, the Gold Glove Awards are here to honor them all. The 2016 winners were announced on Tuesday night, and in celebration of the fantastic defense on display this season, we've got nine GIFs of the American League winners below. (You can check out the National League winners here.)

P: Dallas Keuchel
The beard is strong, but that bare hand is pretty strong, too:
C: Salvador Perez
Perez is often using his hands to film his teammate, Lorenzo Cain. That training in holding a fragile phone seems to have paid off, as he's also able to do things like this:
1B: Mitch Moreland
Not just a first baseman who can hurl a fastball at 94 mph, he can also show off some impressive reflexes:
2B: Ian Kinsler
Four All-Star Games, amazing bloused pants and now, his first Gold Glove.
SS: Francisco Lindor
We're not sure what's flashier: His smile, his stirrups or his glove. Oh wait, now that it's gold, it's definitely his glove:
3B: Adrián Beltré
Take a knee and protect your head, Adrian, because you just picked up your fifth Gold Glove.
LF: Brett Gardner
Glove: Good. Balance? Even better.
CF: Kevin Kiermaier
Kiermaier can cross outfields in a single bound.
RF: Mookie Betts
Think you have a single? Think a ball couldn't possibly be caught? That Betts simply can't leap into the frame? You would be wrong.
