Giancarlo Stanton did some damage by smashing a press box window with a foul ball

It didn't take long for Giancarlo Stanton to do some damage in a Yankees uniform -- literally. Thanks to a foul ball off the bat of the outfielder during Saturday's Mets-Yankees game, the George M. Steinbrenner Field press box now has a new attraction.

Informed that his first-inning foul ball damaged one of the windows that reporters peer through on a daily basis, Stanton smiled and quipped, "I gave them a clearer view to the game."
Overhearing the conversation from an adjacent locker, Brett Gardner quipped, "Did you say the press box? I can hit the press box. He needs to hit them in the other direction."
Stanton did that in the fifth inning of his eventful afternoon, crushing his first home run in a Yankees uniform, a two-run blast to center field off Mets starter Matt Harvey.
That probably isn't too surprising if you've been monitoring his offseason workouts and noticed that impressive physique that landed him on the cover of Men's Health magazine.
Be sure to protect your valuables at all costs if you find yourself at a Yankees game this season.
