Giancarlo Stanton had to fight the sun in order to make two catches in an inning -- and he prevailed

The sun can be a real hassle to any outfielder. When the weather behaves itself and day games are played under beaming sunlight (frequently referred to as a "gorgeous day for baseball" by broadcast crews), it's great for everybody -- but provides a bit of an extra challenge on fly balls.
The sun was definitely shining at Yankee Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the Yankees' 5-1 win over the Blue Jays, but it was also proverbially shining down on Giancarlo Stanton in the fifth inning. He and his sunglasses engaged the sun in a one-on-one battle not one, but two times in the same frame.
The first, on a Kevin Pillar fly ball, was a real struggle ... won by Stanton, who stuck with the play as best he could:

With two outs, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. cracked a line-drive toward the left-field wall. Tracking this one the whole way, Stanton raced back, avoided any sun confusion, made the grab and said what's up to the wall on the way:

Nothing to boo about here, that's for sure.
