German Marquez decided his glove was just getting in the way on this play

In baseball's earliest days, there were no gloves. Germán Márquez may have done pretty well during those days. In the top of the fifth inning during the Rockies' 6-4 loss to the Brewers on Sunday, Milwaukee's Jake Elmore hit a hard liner back up the middle. But Marquez was there to knock the ball down. 
Unable to glove the ball and deeming it useless in making the out, the Rockies hurler raced after the grounder with his bare hand. Marquez decided he didn't need no stinkin' glove. 

Of course, if Marquez did travel back in time and the players saw his glove, they'd probably fight over each other for the right to wear it after growing tired of all the broken fingers and bruised hands. So maybe it's for the best that Marquez keeps it.
