Gary Sanchez crushed a 493-foot homer, second only to Aaron Judge for the season's longest

When Gary Sanchez connects on a pitch, it can go a long way. He did that in the first inning of the Yankees' 13-4 win over the Tigers on Tuesday at Comerica Park and very nearly sent the ball to another zip code.
It stayed within the confines of the stadium, but only because the Tigers have a giant video board behind the left-field seats. This was a booming dinger:

Statcast estimated that blast at a projected 493 feet ... which would be the longest of the season so far, were it not for Sanchez's teammate, Aaron Judge: 

The #BabyBombers can hit some homers. To further drive that point home, Sanchez's moonshot was the first of two he'd hit on the night.
