Watch a field at Fort Bragg transform into a 12,500-seat stadium fit for a Major League game
What does it take to turn a normal, run-of-the-mill field filled with uncut grass and weeds into a ballpark fit for a Major League team? If you're like most people, your answer is "I have no idea." Fortunately, you don't need to know -- you can instead sit back and look at how Fort Bragg's field has transformed before the Braves and Marlins square off on July 4.
Just a few weeks ago, the field looked like this:
And now it looks like a gleaming beacon of baseball.
Of course, the stadium wasn't the only thing that needed perfecting before the game could take place. The infield dirt must be made ever-so-perfectly.
Don't fret about the stadium once the Major League teams pack up and leave, either: The 12,500 seat stadium will be converted into a softball stadium as a gift from MLB and the MLBPA for the 55,000 serving at the Fort.
