Former quarterback Doug Flutie took batting practice with the Boston College baseball team
On Thursday, the Red Sox hosted Boston College for the second half of a split-squad doubleheader at JetBlue Park. Though the Eagles entered the game as underdogs, they got a big lift at batting practice as former Heisman-winning quarterback Doug Flutie showed up to take some hacks at the plate:
After roping a ball down the left-field line, Flutie proved he was a well-rounded offensive threat by following that up by working on his bunting.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that Flutie will take the field in Fort Myers, Fla., on Thursday afternoon because his complete offensive profile and knack for making big plays in a Boston College uniform could spell trouble for the Red Sox.
