On Saturday afternoon, Nationals reliever Felipe Rivero learned that he was on the move -- Washington had dealt both him and pitching prospect Taylor Hearn to the Pirates for closer Mark Melancon. There was a lot to process in the immediate aftermath, from making travel arrangements to notifying his family to finding a place to live to wrapping his head around leaving the organization he's been with for three years.
But before any of that, Rivero made sure he took care of what was really important during his new team's game against the Brewers on Sunday: catching up on any and all handshake routines of the Pittsburgh bullpen:
Step 1: Big hugs. Step 2: Remove hat. Step 3: ??? Step 4: Profit, presumably.
