A Cubs fan is making vintage Nintendo-style videos to celebrate the Cubs' World Series run
Watching the Cubs play in their first World Series in 71 years -- with a chance to win their first championship in 108 -- has Chicago fans asking a lot of questions. Questions like, "Is this the year we put the curse nonsense to rest?" and "Does goat sausage taste good?" and "What if the Cubs' postseason run were a vintage Nintendo game?"
The answer to that last one, at least, comes from one particularly creative Reddit user, who reimagined the Cubs' World Series trip as Zelda: A Link To The Past, complete with Master Sword (aka Matt Szczur's bat):
And a whole collection of items, featuring Schwarbombs and Kris Bryant's striking blue eyes:
For the Cubs' previous series this October, we have Donkey Kong Country:
And, of course, Super Mario Bros.:
This means that if the Cubs end up winning their first World Series championship since 1908, they might just have to take a victory lap with Super Mario Kart.
