It's a Cubs-Indians World Series, and all sorts of famous fans are choosing sides

The Cubs did it. With their 5-0 victory over the Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS on Saturday night, Chicago won its first National League pennant in 71 years -- and set up a World Series showdown with the Indians, who are working on a significant title drought of their own.
But this is much more than a winner-take-all battle between two absurdly talented teams. It's also a winner-take-all battle between two fan bases that have waited a long, long time for this. And now that the stage is set, some very famous fans are choosing sides (though we already know where Bill Murray stands).
Like, for example, legendary comedian Bob Newhart:
And legendary Jumanji conqueror Bonnie Hunt:
Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, too:
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who portrays a politician on TV, was also pretty stoked:
Zooey Deschanel's "New Girl" co-star Jake Johnson was also pleased:
As for those actually at Wrigley Field, Pearl Jam frontman and well-established Cub fanatic Eddie Vedder spent much of the evening with Theo Epstein, the Cubs' president of baseball operations:
... until the game ended, that is. Then it was time to engage in some total revelry with the players in the clubhouse:
John Cusack was also in attendance, and he documented some of the excitement as the "will the Cubs finish this?" drama inched its way toward its gleeful resolution:
And then, it was all done:
Amazingly, Cusack even managed to snag a photo with Cubs icon Kerry Wood during the final few moments of the game:
The 2014-15 Stanley Cup Final-winning Blackhawks, who know a thing or two about quality postseason performances, also extended their well-wishes:
As did the White Sox:
How can the Tribe respond to all that star power? LeBron James himself isn't a bad place to start -- and don't worry, he's already got a bet going with Chicago native and former teammate Dwyane Wade.
Even the Cavs chimed in too, although they have their own reasons to be excited for World Series Game 1 on Tuesday:
Drew Carey, a man who is acutely aware of just how much Cleveland rocks, provided some celebrity reinforcement:
As did Cleveland native Arsenio Hall:
Chef Michael Symon's repping his hometown as well -- and he once put beef cheek inside a pierogi, so you should probably listen to him.
Browns All-Pro cornerback Joe Haden has a football season to worry about, but he still took the time to shout out the Indians:
Ohio State's marching band had made its allegiances clear, but head football coach and Ohio native Urban Meyer decided to give an official endorsement, too:
The battle lines have been drawn. The choice is clear. There's only one thing left to do: Tune in to Game 1 of the Fall Classic on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on FOX to see who comes out on top.
