Ender Inciarte grounded out directly off of Mike Dunn's foot

Being a Major League batter in 2016 is trickier than ever. Getting a hit has never been easy, but with more defensive shifts, it can feel like everywhere you look, someone will be right there to snag the baseball. Now, as Ender Inciarte showed on Wednesday night, you even have to worry about pitchers sticking their big ol' feet right in the path of your grounder up the middle:
In another universe, Inciarte's ball might've zoomed sharply into center field, giving him a single to lead off the eighth inning as the Braves trailed the Marlins, 6-4. Instead, it bounced directly off of Mike Dunn's left foot and sailed in a perfect parabola to Dee Strange-Gordon. Inciarte was retired easily, and the Marlins maintained their two-run lead, ultimately winning, 7-5.
It's like hitters can't catch a break. Shifts? Feet? What's next, putouts at first from right field?
