Mariners bullpen catcher Fleming Baez made a great snag on Domingo Santana's homer

It's one matter to win a couple games on the road in Japan before everyone else has started the season. It's quite another to keep that momentum rolling a week later against the defending World Series champions.

That's exactly what the Mariners did. Undaunted by Chris Sale, the Mariners demolished the Red Sox in their stateside opener, 12-4, and moved to 3-0 on the young season. The scoring was capped by Domingo Santana, who followed up his Opening Day grand slam with another shot, this time off Tyler Thornburg.

Keep your eyes peeled on where the ball lands:

Did you catch that? Because Fleming Baez sure did.

Baez has been on the Mariners' coaching staff as their bullpen catcher since 2017, but we're willing to guess that he's not normally accustomed to making this kind of catch.

Nevertheless, Baez got himself in position to make a pretty slick snag. Everything's coming up Mariners.
