David Ortiz celebrates #CapsOn early by giving cap away to young fan in Montreal

David Ortiz is a living legend basking in his season-long swan song as he embarks on a farewell tour that will culminate in his retirement at the end of the 2016 season. The longtime Red Sox slugger already said goodbye to the team's Spring Training facility in Fort Myers, Fla.
And this weekend -- with the Sox and the Blue Jays playing an exhibition series at Olympic Stadium -- Big Papi has bid adieu to fans in Montreal:

But even after Friday night's ovation, Papi had one more trick up his sleeve (or, more aptly, under his cap) for fans at The O. When Red Sox manager John Farrell lifted Ortiz for a replacement in the fourth inning of Saturday's game, it meant that Papi's Spring Training career was officially a wrap. Ortiz celebrated -- and helped a young fan get a little head start on MLB's #CapsOn initiative -- by returning to the dugout and giving his game-worn cap to kid seated next to the Red Sox dugout:

As it turns out, that fan was a young Quebec native named Anthony, who loves the Boston Bruins and plays second base on his youth baseball team. Anthony's father rooted for the Expos when they were playing in Montreal, and said that the family was just super excited to have baseball back.
