David Hess getting pulled while throwing a no-hitter is your new favorite reaction GIF

There were plenty of good reasons why Orioles starter David Hess was taken out of Monday's game against the Blue Jays despite taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning. He'd thrown multiple innings in a relief appearance just a few days prior. At 82 pitches -- he hadn't thrown more than 55 in an outing during Spring Training -- he'd already exceeded the pitch count the team had for him entering the night. The last two outs he recorded were hard line drives; it was clear that he was flagging, and the O's wanted to make sure that he makes a lot more starts in the future.

Hess himself acknowledged all of that after Baltimore had wrapped up a 6-5 win:

Still, that doesn't make getting pulled in the seventh inning of your no-hit bid any easier. It's one thing to be diplomatic after a victory; it's another to do it while watching your shot at baseball immortality disappear -- and sure enough, as O's manager Brandon Hyde strolled out to the mound to make the pitching change, Hess couldn't help but express himself:
