Cubs players and coaches enjoyed their day off with breakfast at Wrigley Field

It was breakfast at Wrigley Field on Sunday for the Cubs players.
Rather than hold a mandatory workout on the off-day of the National League Division Series, the players dined on eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit and donuts behind home plate.

The Cubs also did this in 2015 after the first two games of the NLDS in St. Louis, which they also split. Game 3 of the best-of-five series against the Nationals will be played Monday night at Wrigley Field.
Besides the food, the players could watch NFL football on the video board.

"I've never seen that," said Cubs Game 3 starter José Quintana said. "This morning, when I went to the clubhouse, we didn't have to do too much today, just go eat on the field. What's with that?
"It was really good. My breakfast was still the same, it had good flavor."
There was an omelette station and Quintana took advantage of that as well as the pancakes and waffles.
"It was really good -- I think it's something different," Quintana said. "That helps us."
