Rookie Trea Turner had a great 2016 season for the Nationals -- hitting 13 homers with 33 steals and a .342/.370/.567 slash line. He was probably pretty excited about his performance, and probably pretty excited about playing in his first postseason against the Dodgers in NLDS Game 1 on Friday.
But then, he had to step up to the plate against three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw and, um, bye-bye, Trea.
Don't worry, Mr. Turner, you weren't the only one to fall victim to Kershaw's devastating curveball. See Danny Espinosa below:
Although he wasn't his usual otherworldly self on the mound, Kershaw did get the win in the Dodgers' 4-3 victory -- striking out seven and giving up three runs in five innings. That deserved some intense yelling.
Tune in for Saturday's Game 2 at 4 p.m. ET on FS1 to see if Turner and crew can exact their revenge.
