Teammates pelted Cesar Hernandez with ice after his walk-off single

After an easy 17-3 win over the Nationals Saturday night, the Phillies faced much more resistance in their 4-3 walk-off win Sunday afternoon.
The Nationals scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game, but then the Phillies had a chance to win it in the bottom of the inning. After a walk and a single, second baseman César Hernández hit a soft line drive that landed just in front of Jayson Werth in left field to knock in the winning run.
Following his walk-off single, teammates Tommy Joseph and Cameron Rupp performed the routine and ceremonial act of christening Hernandez with Gatorade and water during his postgame interview.
These sorts of shenanigans happen all the time. After seemingly every game, in fact. However, two things stick out about Hernandez's experience in particular. First, that's a lot of liquid in those containers, and, oh my, that first beverage is really pink. The box score tells us the game-time temperature was a sunny 65 degrees. Why, then, is there so much liquid left in those containers? Manager Pete Mackanin might want to talk to his team about proper hydration.
Second, there seems to be an unusually high ice content being dumped on Hernandez. You don't want to hurt him by pelting him with ice. No injury has been reported, but, just to be safe, the Phillies might want to examine the ice content of their sports drinks before dumping them on players in the future.
