St. Louis Blues fans took over Busch Stadium for a Game 7 Stanley Cup watch party

The Cardinals are one of the most successful baseball teams in the history of the sport, winning 11 World Series, including two recent championships in 2006 and 2011. They've been home to some of the best players ever, and their fans are often held up -- or, hold themselves up -- as the best in baseball.

But on Wednesday night, St. Louisans showed that they're also great fans of hockey. The Blues were in Boston for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Bruins, looking for their first championship. The Cardinals were also out of town for a series against the Marlins, so Busch Stadium was transformed into a giant Stanley Cup watch party.

There's always a risk of bad weather when you host an outdoor event. A little rain wasn't going to get in the way of the festivities:

When the buzzer sounded in Boston and the Blues hoisted the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history, Busch Stadium erupted with the same energy as the final out of Game 7 of the 2011 World Series.

If the Cardinals have their way, Wednesday won't be the last time St. Louis fans gather at Busch Stadium for an intense postseason game in 2019.
