Blue Jays reliever John Axford took a ride in the Tigers' bullpen cart

Detroit is known as the Motor City because of its central place in the history of the automobile in America. It only makes sense, then, that the Tigers would have a bullpen cart to drive pitchers from the bullpen to the mound.
During Friday night's loss to the Tigers, 5-2, Blue Jays reliever John Axford steeped himself in the history of the city by taking the Tigers' flame-detailed cart to the mound when he entered the game in the eighth inning:

We can only assume that Axford's relaxing ride to the mound contributed to his successful eighth inning, in which he retired all three Tigers he faced and recorded two strikeouts.
