Lourdes Gurriel built a 'Kendrys Cam' out of paper cups to track the home run streak
Everyone wants to be lucky enough to be on hand to witness history. On Monday night, fans in Baltimore had an opportunity when Kendrys Morales and the Blue Jays came to town to begin a three-game series.
Morales had already set a new franchise record for most consecutive games with a homer, and if he went deep on Monday, he would tie the Major League mark with No. 8. Obviously, Morales' teammates in the Blue Jays dugout were hoping to see him do just that, but Lourdes Gurriel Jr. took his cheering to the next level.
See, it wasn't enough for Gurriel to watch Morales at bat -- he wanted to record it for posterity, too. Granted, he did so in a rather unusual fashion.
An ingenious idea! But sadly -- much like Miguel Sanó's butter camera -- it didn't appear to be operational. Morales also went hitless, snapping the streak.
Gurriel gets an 'A' for creativity anyway.
