There's luck, and then there's this guy, who managed to be in the right place, at the right time -- twice.
In the top of the fifth inning during the Blue Jays' 8-5 win over the Red Sox on Thursday night, J.D. Martinez smacked his 35th home run of the season to center field. A Toronto fan, prepared with a glove, caught the ball above his head:
But wait -- there's more.
In the bottom of that same inning, the same fan caught Randal Grichuk's two-run homer. This time, by reaching down, over the railing:
Beautiful.
This isn't the first time a fan has been gifted with the gift of the grab. An A's fan, back in June, caught two of Chad Pinder's foul balls on consecutive pitches.
We must find these guys and ask them for the winning lottery numbers at once.
