Mookie Betts played airplane captain and flew Chris Archer to the All-Star Game
Mookie Betts hits home runs. He steals bases and robs base hits, too. Apparently, he can also fly planes. After the Red Sox's 5-3 loss to the Rays on Sunday afternoon, he needed to get from Tampa down to Miami for Tuesday's All-Star Game.
Rather than deal with the hassle of commercial air travel, Betts decided to captain his own vessel. Even better, he brought his opponent from earlier in the day, Chris Archer:
Archer proved to be pretty trusting -- even after Betts had taken him deep to lead off the game:
Perhaps that's why Archer trusted the outfielder. After all, he already proved pretty adept at making objects fly.
