Ben Zobrist hit an odd ground-rule double thanks to the generosity of Nolan Arenado's glove

Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado has won five consecutive Gold Glove Awards for his slick, often awe-inspiring defense -- but on Monday, his trusty glove betrayed him. 
In the second inning of Monday's series opener with the Cubs at Wrigley Field, Ben Zobrist hit a chopper down the third-base line. Arenado got into position to field it, but the ball took a tough hop, skipped off the heel of his glove and bounced into the stands.

Just like that, what was almost a routine 5-3 putout was, instead, a ground-rule double for Zobrist.
This wasn't even the only odd-looking moment on the field in the game, as Rockies infielder Pat Valaika had his own adventure due to the winds whipping around the Chicago air on a Kris Bryant popup:
