Because Bartolo Colon fears nothing, he speared a 102-mph line-drive comebacker with his belly

The Rangers beat the Mariners, 5-1, on Wednesday, benefiting from 7 2/3 innings of masterful pitching from Bartolo Colon. The 44-year-old dazzled on the afternoon, his fastballs hitting spots as they do when he's "on."
As anyone who's paid attention to Colon's late-career renaissance can tell you, he's endlessly entertaining on the hill. Sometimes, he makes leaping plays. Other times, he outruns fleet-footed players like Dee Strange-Gordon to first base. Or, as he did in the fourth inning of Wednesday's game, fearlessly uses his body to block a line drive clocked at 102-mph off the bat of Jean Segura:

That looks painful. But Colon assured reporters after the game that it wasn't, with MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan passing on this amazing quote:
"It hit me more on the side than in the middle," Colon said. "I have a lot of big belly, so I can take it."
Same, Bart. Same.
