Baker Mayfield sported a jersey to support his friend Christian Yelich prior to Thursday Night Football
The Browns hosted the Jets during their Thursday Night Football matchup. Naturally, cameras were around to see the players arrive. And when Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield showed up, he was sporting a Christian Yelich jersey:
And apparently, Mayfield has been supporting Yelich since way before the Brewers outfielder became the Cycles King. Back in February, Yelich explained to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the two are really good friends.
"We've been working out at the same facility," Yelich said. "He played in the Rose Bowl and he stayed out there; a lot of the NFL guys come train there. I ended up getting traded to the Brewers and he went and got a bunch of Brewers stuff, so he's repping the Brewers pretty good this year."
After Mayfield led the Browns to a comeback win on Thursday -- the team's first in nearly two years -- he even made sure to give his buddy an MVP shoutout during his press conference:
Yelich definitely appreciates the help.
