As promised, an excited Ric Flair shouted 'Play Ball!' for the Astros ahead of ALCS Game 7
With their triumph over the Yankees in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series presented by Camping World, the Astros forced a winner-take-all Game 7 on Saturday -- which they won, 4-0, to advance to face the Doders in the World Series.
In doing so, they also inspired wrestling legend Ric Flair -- who has a huge fan in Astros outfielder Josh Reddick -- to record a special pregame video before the first pitch from Charlie Morton. Specifically, Flair appeared on the Jumbotron at Minute Maid Park to hype up the crowd and shout "Play Ball," which he did with his trademark enthusiasm:
Game 7s deserve pulling out the stops, so this was a fittingly electric start to the game.
Tune in to World Series Game 1: Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
