After some question as to who he'd root for in the ALDS, LeBron James showed up for the Indians

The Indians and Yankees have a few things in common: Beyond the success of their seasons, they also have the support of LeBron James. It was a decade ago when the two teams met during the postseason and at the time, the king of the basketball court was firm in his fandom toward New York. James, who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, attended Thursday's Game 1 of the American League Division Series along with the rest of the team … and we were unsure who he would be rooting for.
The media asked Terry Francona his thoughts on the situation pregame. He hadn't remembered the time James was rooting for the Yanks, but was quickly reminded.
"I had not remembered [James rooting for the Yankees] but I do now," Indians manager Terry Francona said, during a press conference. "I'm hopeful that he won't be. How's that? I don't think I need to be telling LeBron what to do, but I think he'll be rooting for the Indians."

The Yankees however, did not forget the memory and tweeted out a picture of LeBron holding up a Yankees cap.

If James did decide to root for the home team (which he's done before), Francona would welcome him with open arms. 
"I think it's pretty cool that [he] want[s] to show up and support the Indians," he explained. "I think it's neat. It's not going to score any runs or get the Yankees out, but it's pretty cool."

Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia also gave his thoughts on who the NBA star would be pushing for in Game 1.
"Man, I don't know," he said. "I know he's a Yankees fan, but I think he has to put on a front for the city."

Fortunately, King James answered all of our burning questions during the Indians' 4-0 win over the Yankees. It turns out he will indeed be cheering on the Indians and sporting their colors this October:
