After showing restraint the night before, Joey Votto threw a foul ball onto the Wrigley roof

On Monday, Joey Votto debuted a new weird trick when he chased down a routine Kyle Schwarber foul ball and fired it into the stands at Wrigley Field. At the last moment, he appeared to get cold feet and let up a bit on his throw.
During Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Cubs, Votto encountered a similar situation on a foul ball from Victor Caratini and carried the action to its logical conclusion: on top of the Wrigley Field roof.
Votto was clearly not messing around. With the Reds playing two more games at Wrigley this series, Votto's next step is obvious: throw the ball clear out of the stadium.
Yet, as the Reds reminded us, Votto can still provide some great souvenirs even if he discards a foul ball or two along the way.
