When a player scores his team's first run of the game, he earns a little more leeway to have some playful fun with his teammates. Mikie Mahtook took advantage of that state of affairs during the fifth inning of the Tigers' 7-3 loss to the Rockies Tuesday night.
After scoring from second on John Hicks' RBI double to put the Tigers on the board, he greeted starting pitcher Michael Fulmer with a nose-boop:
Two innings later -- after Mahtook tied the game up at three on a two-run home run -- Fulmer got him back in the dugout with a nose-boop of his own.
Will this Mahtook-Fulmer nose-boop battle ever end? Only time will tell.
