Buck O'Neil Legacy Seat Program

The Buck O’Neil Legacy Seat continues to be one of the greatest Kansas City honors for individuals impacting our community. While Buck loved baseball, his love of this city and its people will always be at the forefront for all those who knew him. Buck’s seat is famous at Kauffman Stadium. It is the only red seat in the stadium, and it is where Buck sat when scouting.

Celebrate someone you know who has made a difference in our community by nominating them for the Buck O’Neil Legacy Seat and filling out an entry form that includes an essay of no more than 100 words about how your nominee bettered life for those he/she impacted and how the nominee best reflects the compassionate spirit of the late Buck O'Neil. Our judges will pick up to 81 winners throughout the season from all eligible nominees (see Official Rules for details). ​

Recipients of Buck O’Neal Seat will receive:​

• Recognition throughout the game both in the stadium and on Bally Sports Kansas City’s broadcast for the game.​
• Five (5) total tickets for winner and four (4) guests to one 2024 Kansas City Royals regular season home game (subject to availability and blackout dates, winner to choose from available games designated by Sponsors during the applicable Royals homestand)​
• One (1) premium parking pass ​
• $40 loaded value available for merchandise, food, and/or beverage​
• One (1) commemorative plaque for winner only (ARV $500 each)
