May 28: RHP (right ulnar nerve inflammation) begins rehab assignment at Triple-A Toledo
Miller, who underwent a procedure a couple weeks ago to remove scar tissue from his ulnar nerve, is scheduled to make a rehab appearance for Toledo on Tuesday. The Tigers will evaluate his outing before determining if he should make another rehab appearance or if he could be ready to return from the injured list. Even if they decide to bring him back, they could wait a day to avoid pitching him on consecutive days.

“The good news is he’s itching to pitch, which to me means he’s cleared all hurdles of him worrying how his arm feels,” manager A.J. Hinch said over the weekend.

Miller said last week his arm is feeling much better. He’d been dealing with stiffness and soreness after outings that hampered his ability to recover and ultimately led to a drop in his velocity.
