What is the Creator’s Corner presented by U.S. Bank?
The Creator’s Corner presented by U.S. Bank (the “Program”) is an initiative started by the Twins in partnership with U.S. Bank (each as defined below), which aims to spotlight and elevate local businesses and entrepreneurs from underserved communities. A retail space inside Gate 34 of Target Field (the “Creator’s Corner”) has been designated for the Program and shall serve as home to three local businesses for an entire baseball season. The Twins will collaborate with the selected companies (each a “Creator Company” and collectively, the “Creator Companies”) to feature, promote, and sell their products from the Creator’s Corner, and will also make a financial investment in each business.
What type of business can apply to be in the Creator’s Corner?
An applicant for the Program (an “Applicant”) must be a business that is (i) operating locally within “Twins Territory” (the five-state area which covers MN, ND, SD, IA, and western WI) and (ii) owned, operated, and controlled by the qualifying small business owner from an underserved community.
Who can apply to be in the Creator’s Corner?
Any U.S. resident who is eighteen (18) years of age or older (except in the case of legal residents of certain states where the legal age is greater than eighteen (18) years of age, such legal age of majority) can apply their qualifying business for the Program. All individuals applying agree to release and hold the MLB Entities (defined below), including Minnesota Twins, LLC (the “Twins”), Delaware North Companies Sportservice Inc. (“Delaware North”), and U.S. Bank National Association (“U.S. Bank”), harmless from and against any and all rights, claims and causes of action that may arise against either of them in connection with nominations submitted as part of the Program. “MLB Entities” means the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“BOC”), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs (“Clubs”), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated, and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, and agents of the foregoing entities.
How do I apply to be featured in the Creator’s Corner?
Applicants must apply for the Program by completing the online form at twins.com/creatorscorner. All applications must be received by 11:59p.m. CT on October 1, 2024.
How will the Creator Companies be selected?
The Twins retain sole and absolute discretion with regard to the evaluation of Applicants and the selection of the 2025 Creator Companies. Each Applicant selected to participate in the Program will be notified via the Applicant’s provided e-mail by no later than December 16, 2024. If a selected Applicant does not acknowledge acceptance within seventy-two (72) hours of a communication from the Twins notifying the Applicant of their selection, the Twins may select an alternate qualifying Applicant in the Twins’ sole and absolute discretion.
What will the Creator Companies receive in connection with the Program?
Each Creator Company receives:
- An investment of Ten Thousand dollars ($10,000) for retail inventory to be sold on consignment in the Creator’s Corner by the Twins’ retail service provider, Delaware North
- The opportunity for in-stadium videoboard promotion highlighting the Creator’s Corner
- Digital promotion on Twins social channel(s), including an announcement of the Creator Companies and a one-minute feature spotlighting each selected business
- Vendor badge access to Target Field for two (2) representatives per Creator Company to support the Creator’s Corner
- Exact nature and duration of in-stadium promotion, announcement, or feature shall be determined in the sole discretion of Twins and subject to availability
General terms - What else should I know?
The Twins may contact Applicants using information provided on the application form, for purpose of evaluating applications and notifying Applicants of their selection. All decisions made by the Twins in connection with the Program shall be based on the information provided in the online form or in follow-up discussions with an Applicant, and no correspondence will be entered into relating to these decisions. No transfer, assignment, or substitution of any of the aforementioned Program benefits, except at the sole discretion of the Twins, will be permitted. Parking and travel to and from Target Field are not included. Applicants selected to participate in the Program may be required to be onsite at Target Field for various events/games throughout the 2025 calendar year, including but not limited to: Twins Media Day (date TBD), Twins Home Opener (date TBD), and additional to be determined date(s) required for filming interview(s) for social content or participating in other activations. Each Creator Company representative agrees to comply with all applicable ballpark and venue regulations in connection with the award; see mlb.com/twins/ballpark for details. The Twins and the other MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to any winner and/or his/her guest(s) who engage in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person at the game/event/exhibition, may or does cause damage to person, property or the reputation of the Twins or otherwise violates the policies of the Twins and/or other MLB Entities. Twins and MLB Entities are not responsible for weather conditions; acts of God; acts of terrorism; civil disturbances; local, state, or federal regulation, order, or policy; work stoppage; epidemic, pandemic, or any other issue concerning public health or safety; or any other event outside of their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game/event/exhibition. Vendor badges offered as part of this Program may not be resold, offered for resale, or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and award/benefit forfeiture and may invalidate the license granted by the vendor badge. The Twins and MLB Entities (a) make no warranty, guaranty, or representation of any kind concerning any benefit/award (or any portion thereof) and (b) disclaim any implied warranty. By participating in the Program, each participant agrees to waive any and all claims against the Twins and MLB Entities for any injury, damage, or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in the Program, receipt or use of any benefit/award (or any portion thereof). All Applicants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and each Applicant selected to participate in the Program, by acceptance of the benefits/award described herein, grants to the Twins, the MLB Entities and each of their respective designees the right to publicize their name, business name, address, photograph, voice, statements and/or other likeness and benefits information for advertising, promotional and/or trade and/or any other purpose, in any media or format now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without limitation and without further compensation, consideration, permission or notification, unless prohibited by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Twins also reserve the right to require potential award recipients to provide documentation evidencing their status as a diverse-owned business and to complete certain documentation, including but not limited to a certificate of eligibility, liability release, publicity release (except where prohibited by law), photo/image waiver and release, and authorization for background check, as a condition of potential selection for receipt of the Program recognition. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota.
