Major League Baseball announces MLB Legendary Moments Award presented by Budweiser
Fans Can Vote on the Best Highlight Moments from the Full 2020 Season Starting Today; The 16-Nominee Bracket Features Eight Regular-Season Moments and Eight Postseason Moments; Fans Can Submit Their Brackets at MLB.com/moments
Major League Baseball today unveiled the MLB Legendary Moments Award Presented by Budweiser, which gives fans the opportunity to vote on the best moment of the 2020 MLB season.
Starting today, fans can visit MLB.com/moments and select their favorite 2020 moment from 16 nominees in a four-round bracket that will include eight highlights from the regular season and eight highlights from the Postseason. For this first of its kind fan voting award, participants have from today until Wednesday, November 4th at 4:00 p.m. ET to submit their vote.
Some notable nominee moments include Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brett Phillips’ hit and ensuing walk-off scramble to end Game 4 of the World Series; Chicago White Sox hurler Lucas Giolito’s 13-strikeout no-hitter; San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr.’s bat-flip in Game 2 of the National League Wild Card Series; and Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr.’s MLB-best 495-foot leadoff home run against the Red Sox. An MLB Panel will also vote on the award and the winning player will receive a Legendary Moments Award trophy.
