Jacob Andrew Eder...Graduated from Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and attended Vanderbilt University... Went 2-0 with a 2.97 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 2019 to help Vanderbilt win the College World Series.

Was acquired by Los Angeles (AL) at the end of Spring Training and by Washington at the Trade Deadline... Appeared in eight Major League games for the Angels, posting a 4.91 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 18.1 innings pitched... In his last Major League outing on July 23 at New York (NL), he struck out seven batters and issued just one walk in six innings of work out of the Angels’ bullpen (7 H, 5 ER)....He

was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake the following day.

Combined to go 2-6 with a 6.35 ERA (40 ER/56.2 IP) and 70 strikeouts over 14 starts between Class A Jupiter and Class AA Pensacola in the Miami organization and Class AA Birmingham in the White Sox system...Began the season on the injured list with a fractured left foot…Made three rehab starts at Jupiter before being reinstated on 6/20 and assigned to Pensacola...Threw 5.0 scoreless IP on 7/5 vs. Biloxi, allowing one hit…Won his final start with the Blue Wahoos on 7/29 at Mississippi, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits with 10 strikeouts over 5.2 IP...Was traded to the White Sox in exchange for INF Jake Burger on 8/1…Made his Barons debut on 8/6 vs. Rocket City, allowing two runs over 2.0 IP...Went 0-3 with a 11.74 ERA (20 ER/15.1 IP), 11 walks and 20 strikeouts over his next four starts from 8/13-9/2 before being shut down for the season...Appeared in six games (five starts) with the Glendale in the Arizona Fall League…Struck out 16 batters over 17.2 IP...Following the season, was rated by MLB.com as the No. 5 prospect in the White Sox organization.

 Was named to the Double-A South postseason All-Star Team with Pensacola after going 3-5 with a 1.77 ERA (14 ER/71.1 IP) and 99 strikeouts (12.5 per 9.0 IP) over 15 starts.
