After a slow start, Sexson rebounded with a big second half -- hitting .322 after the All-Star break after hitting .218 before it. Sexson had a career-best 40 doubles in 2006, and drove in over 100 runs for the second time in as many seasons with Seattle. Had nine home runs in July alone and had a career-high five hits against San Diego on June 25. Sexson got his 1,000th Major League hit -- on a home run, no less -- at Minnesota on May 1.

First, and only, season in Arizona was cut short by injury...still produced 23 RBI in 23 games, while collecting 4 doubles and 9 HR...hit two home runs April 25 vs. San Diego, his 18th career multi-homer game, the 16th two-homer game...on April 26 hit career home run #200, a massive shot off the JumboTron in Bank One Ballpark; blast was estimated at 503 feet...suffered a subluxation of his left shoulder with a bruised humeral head and slight tear of his labrum while attempting to check his swing in the 8th inning vs. Cubs on April 28 and was placed on the disabled list April 29...injury snapped consecutive innings played streak at 1,642 played over 183 games dating back to 2003 when he played every inning of every game...activated from DL on May 21 at Florida and was 1x5...on May 22, re-injured the shoulder on checked swing; he returned to the DL May 23...had arthroscopic surgery on June 4 (performed by Diamondbacks team physician Dr. Michael Lee) to repair a torn labrum...spent remainder of season rehabbing shoulder following surgery.

Was the only Major Leaguer to play every inning of every game, the first player to accomplish the feat since Detroit's Travis Fryman in 1995 (144-game schedule)... according to the Elias Sports Bureau, Richie was the first player to play every inning in a 162-game season since 1986 when Cal Ripken played every inning for the Baltimore Orioles...named to second consecutive All-Star Game, going 0-for-2 in the contest held at U.S. Cellular Field; participated in the Century 21 Home Run Derby, but was eliminated in the first round...tied a career best with a team leading 45 home runs, while falling one short of his personal best in RBI with 124...finished second in the NL in roundtrippers and fourth in RBI...became first Milwaukee Brewer right-handed batter to record three consecutive 100-RBI seasons, one more than Gorman Thomas (1979-80)...home run total tied the club record he had previously shared with Thomas (1979)...led the Brewers in HR in each of his three full seasons in Milwaukee...belted the 150th homer of his career on April 15 vs St. Louis (off Garrett Stephenson)...recorded second career 3-homer game on April 26 at Atlanta, while setting a franchise record with 14 total bases, one more than Hall of Famer Paul Molitor's 13 in 1982...had three, 2-homer games: Aug. 6 vs. Atlanta, Sept. 13 at San Francisco and Sept. 26 at Houston... tied club mark for most home runs in April with 9...hit 100th home run as a Brewer May 10 at Cincinnati (off John Riedling)...in just 3 1/2 seasons with the Brewers, Sexson left 10th on the club's all-time home run list with 133, only one behind Don Money...drove in 500th career run May 20 vs. San Diego... career-high 15-game hitting streak July 1-18, hitting .286 (16x56)...equaled personal single-game best with 4-hit games on April 26 at Atlanta, June 19 vs. St. Louis and July 26 at Colorado...tied for eighth in the NL with a career-high 98 walks, while finishing fourth in the loop in total bases (332) and strikeouts (151), fifth in home run ratio (13.5), seventh in RBI ratio (4.9), eighth in at bats (606), tied for eighth in extra base hits (75) and ninth in slugging percentage (.548)...hit .293 (51x174) with RISP, including a .359 mark (23x64) with two outs...hit .268 (19x71) with runners on third base, but an impressive .393 (11x28) with two outs...hit .313 (5x16) with the bases loaded, but .444 (4x9) with two outs...he committed 11 errors in 1,504 chances at first base for a .993 fielding percentage.

Hampered by a sore hamstring for much of the second half, but still led the Brewers in runs (86), hits (159), doubles (37), home runs (29), RBI (102) and walks (70)...was named the Brewers MVP...was NL Player-of-the-Week for July 22-28, when he hit .550 (11x20) with 2 doubles, 2 home runs and 9 RBI...hit .320 in May, then .300 in June posting the best first-half of his career, earning a spot on the 2002 All-Star team in his home field Miller Park...made it to the second round of the Century 21 Home Run Derby, highlighted by a 480-foot homer onto the base of Bernie Brewer's slide in the first round...recorded a pair of 2 home run games, July 20 at Colorado and April 18 vs St. Louis...had a pair of grand slams, May 12 at Wrigley Field (Ron Mahay) and Aug. 29 vs. the Cubs (Kyle Farnsworth), the fifth and sixth bases loaded homers of his career...joined Jose Hernandez (April 12, 2001) and Ted Kubiak (July 18, 1970) as only the third Brewer to drive in 7 runs in a game, April 18 vs. St. Louis.

Started year in Cleveland, splitting time between first base and leftfield...hit his lone career pinch homer on July 6 vs. Toronto...had a 1.000 fielding pct. as an outfielder, recording a trio of outfield assists, including 2 in the same game on July 22 at Minnesota... hit his third career grand slam in that contest in Minnesota...was traded to Milwaukee on July 28 with pitchers Paul Rigdon and Kane Davis and a player-to-be-named (Marcos Scutaro) in exchange for pitchers Bob Wickman, Jason Bere and Steve Woodard...made his Brewers debut on July 30 vs. Colorado...homered in 3 straight games from Aug. 21-23, all at Bank One Ballpark...Milwaukee went 30-27 after his acquisition, and was 10-4 in games that he homered...he had a .991 fielding percentage as a first baseman for the Brewers...Richie earned the Brewers Manager's Award.

In first full season at the big league level with Cleveland, drove in 116 runs, good for 12th among American League sluggers...made 21 starts at designated hitter, 53 starts at first base, 40 starts in left field and one start in right field...had 5 RBI May 19 at Comiskey Park, highlighted by his second career grand slam (off Bryan Ward)...had 5 RBI and 4 hits on Aug. 31 vs. Anaheim, featuring the go-ahead 3-run homer off of Troy Percival in a 14- 12 win...had a pair of multi-homer games (June 9 vs. Milwaukee and July 27 vs. Detroit)... became the first Indian since May 7, 1998 (Omar Vizquel) to hit 2 triples in a game when he accomplished the feat on Sept. 30 vs Toronto...his 7 triples topped the Tribe and tied for ninth best in the AL.
1998
Spent majority of the first half in Buffalo (AAA), earning a spot on the International League All-Star team...was recalled for the first time on June 27, appearing twice before returning to Buffalo during the All-Star break...Richie was recalled for a second time on July 23 after Shawon Dunston was traded to San Francisco, then optioned back to AAA on Aug. 7, but his stay in the minors was short-lived as Jim Thome broke his hand on the night of August 7 and Sexson was back in the Majors on the 8th...hit his first ML home run on Aug, 17 off of Tampa Bay's Wilson Alvarez...recorded first career 4-hit game on Aug. 26 vs. Seattle...enjoyed first career 2-homer game on Aug. 29 vs Oakland, then followed the next night with his first career grand slam (off Tim Worrell)...became the fourth Indians rookie since 1981 to hit 10-plus homers in a season joining Joe Carter (13 in 1984), Cory Snyder (24 in 1986) and Manny Ramirez (17 in 1994).

Had a banner season at Buffalo, earning a berth on the Mid-season All-Star team and a place on the American Association Post-Season All-Star Team...became the first Bison to lead the league in homers (31)...his 88 RBI ranked third in the league and his .530 slugging percentage ranked second...earned Buffalo co-MVP honors with Bruce Aven...missed over a month of the season after suffering a dislocated right shoulder in the second game of the year April 5, going on the disabled list until May 6...was recalled to Cleveland on Sept. 12 after the playoffs and made his Major League debut 2 days later in Comiskey Park in a pinch-hit appearance, collecting a hit in his first at bat with an infield single off Tony Castillo in the eighth inning...played for Arecibo in Puerto Rican Winter League after the season.

Spent the entire season with Canton-Akron (AA), leading the club in doubles, games and at bats...his 85 runs were fifth in the Eastern League and 22 doubles ranked second... played with the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League following the season.
