MAPS (Maximizing All Potentials), a program of the University of Pittsburgh School of Education and Allegheny County Drug and Alcohol Prevention Programs, delivers impactful prevention and mental health programming for children and adults across diverse school and community settings. MAPS is dedicated to the prevention of drug and alcohol problems, the promotion of mental health, and the development of resilient children, adults, and families.

The Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation works to improve the health of the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities in and around Western Pennsylvania. We offer a variety of resources and support including youth and family services, Hugh’s Kitchen pantry program, legal aid clinics, as well as training and consultation for organizations to improve their capacity to serve LGBTQ+ clients and staff. We make it our mission to address bias and stigma in the many intersections of our communities and to raise health and awareness to create better spaces and opportunities for LGBTQ+ and HIV+ individuals.

Persad Center, the largest LGBTQ+ mental health agency in PA, provides comprehensive mental health therapy services, psychiatric services and substance use counseling. Everything we do is built on the same foundation: that everyone deserves safe, compassionate, non-judgmental care.

Sisters PGH is the longest running black trans led organization in the city, serving the trans and nonbinary community of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. With a focus on housing initiatives, Sisters PGH connects clients with resources such as behavioral health services, case management, rent and utility assistance and more. Now located downtown, Sisters PGH is proud to welcome the trans and nonbinary community to The Stonewall Inn, the drop-in center and central hub for all services Sisters provides. There, clients will be connected to earlier mentioned resources and have access to our washer, dryer, food pantry, clothing closet, computer lab, showers and more. PFLAG is the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQIA+ people and those who love them. Founded in 1973 by a mother and her gay son, PFLAG was born from the unified front of a family leading with love. Over fifty years later, PFLAG’s network of hundreds of chapters and more than 325,000 members and supporters is helping to create an equitable and inclusive world where every LGBTQIA+ person is safe, celebrated, empowered, and loved. Pittsburgh LGBTQ Charities (PLC) was established in 2021 to raise community awareness and promote grassroots engagement for neighborhood quality of life, animal welfare, anti-poverty, and LGBTQ+ issues in Western Pennsylvania. Currently, they operate the Dr. John P. Ruffing VMD Pet Food Pantry serving over 200 households, the Trans and Queer Media Project, and a Whistle Kit Distribution effort.

Pittsburgh’s LGBTQ+ Film Festival amplifies queer stories through film, fosters dialogue and community connection, and expands access to queer cinema for audiences across the Pittsburgh region. For forty years, Reel Q has hosted our annual film festival each October, along with screenings and programming throughout the year.
