Athletics Hire CAA ICON as Owner’s Representative for Ballpark in Las Vegas
OAKLAND, Calif. — The Athletics have hired CAA ICON as owner’s representative for the Club’s proposed Las Vegas ballpark. CAA ICON will assist in the overall project management and serve as a key resource in the oversight of the architect, construction manager, subcontractors, and other specialty consultants.
CAA ICON served in the same role for the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium, Golden Knights’ T-Mobile Arena, the WNBA Aces’ practice facility, and the Raiders’ Headquarters. Beyond their extensive presence in Las Vegas, they have overseen planning, design, and construction for some of the most successful sports venues in the world, including the Golden State Warriors’ Chase Center, the LA Clippers’ Intuit Dome, the restoration of the Cubs’ Wrigley Field, Austin FC’s Q2 Stadium, and more.
“CAA ICON is the unrivaled leader in the management of sports venue development,” said A’s President Dave Kaval. “They are the best firm to oversee the representation of our ownership team and transform our ballpark vision into reality.”
“We are so grateful that the A’s have entrusted us to oversee this landmark project on their behalf. Ownership’s vision for this project is undoubtedly unique to the league and will become a key part of the Las Vegas sports story,” said Charlie Thornton, CAA ICON Co-CEO.
CAA ICON has assigned their experienced Las Vegas-based staff to the project, all of whom had roles on the sports venues in the city.
