A’s select Mortenson | McCarthy as construction manager for Las Vegas Ballpark
OAKLAND, Calif. — The Athletics have hired Mortenson | McCarthy as the construction manager for the Club’s proposed ballpark in Las Vegas.
The Mortenson | McCarthy team will be responsible for overseeing all construction-related activities, including preconstruction estimating, scheduling and logistics planning, bidding, coordination and management of all craft employees and trade partners, labor relations, and community engagement. The official hiring is subject to approval by the Las Vegas Stadium Authority.
The Mortenson | McCarthy Joint Venture has an established track record in the Las Vegas community. The companies completed construction of the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium in July 2020, delivering the project on time, within budget, and exceeding all community benefit goals. The project demonstrated industry-leading workforce diversity, achieving local, small, and women & minority-owned business goals, and establishing a new industry benchmark in sports construction and for Southern Nevada.

Mortenson, a Minneapolis-based company, is a leader in sports and entertainment projects with other recent completed projects including Truist Park (Atlanta Braves), Target Field (Minnesota Twins), Chase Center (Golden State Warriors), Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle Kraken), and U.S. Bank Stadium (Minnesota Vikings).
