2024 Cactus Jack HBCU Classic
The 2nd Annual Cactus Jack HBCU Classic is set for Friday, February 16 through Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Minute Maid Park. The Classic, is an annual, round-robin collegiate baseball classic designed by the Astros Foundation and Astros Youth Academy to highlight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their baseball programs.
The nine-game tournament will feature Houston-area Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern University, and four schools from neighboring Louisiana and Mississippi – Southern University, Grambling State, Jackson State, and Alcorn State University.
• Round-robin format with three (3) games each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• State to State game matchups (JSU vs Alcorn St.; GSU vs. SUBR; TSU vs. PVAMU)
• College fair hosted by the Astros Youth Academy highlighting over 100 colleges and universities.
Be sure to arrive to each game early as 800 exclusive Travis Scott Cactus Jack bobbleheads presented by the Cactus Jack Foundation will be distributed upon entry to fans one (1) hour prior to each of the 3 games on each day.
