Where do I check in for my tour?

Standard Daily Tour Check In:

Our ticket window is located at the Western Metal Building on 7th Avenue/Tony Gwynn Drive between K and L Streets, next to the Padres Team Store. Please make sure to check our website for updated dates and times for tours.

Standard Pregame Tour Check In:

Standard Pregame Tours check in at Gaslamp Gates located on 7th Avenue and K Street.

VIP Pregame Tour Check In:

VIP Pregame Tours check in is at the VIP/Media Gate located on Park Blvd and Imperial Avenue. The VIP/Media Gate is next to the Home Plate Gate ticket windows.

When should I arrive for my tour?

We suggest arriving approximately 15-20 minutes before the scheduled start time of your tour.

Where should I park for my tour?

Standard Daily Tours

Street parking is available around the ballpark on non-game/event days. Additional parking lots around the ballpark include the Lexus Premier Lot, Padres Parkade and 6th & K Parkade which is directly across from the standard daily tours check-in location. Standard Pregame & VIP Pregame

Padres preferred parking is available adjacent to Petco Park. Guests are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase their parking to guarantee a spot in these convenient lots. To pre-purchase parking on a game day click Here. Guests are encouraged to also utilize public transportation. Please note Padres preferred parking lots open at least 4 hours prior to game time and remain open until 2:00 a.m. following a game. For public transportation information click Here.

How long is the tour?

Tours are approximately 80-90 minutes long.

What if it rains?

Tours take place rain or shine.

Are tours wheelchair accessible?

Yes, tours are wheelchair accessible. We do not provide wheelchairs.

Can I purchase tickets on the day of my tour?

A limited amount of tickets are available for purchase day of at the Gaslamp ticket window. Tours do sell out and guests are encouraged to purchase in advance online to secure their spot.

Children

Petco Park offers complimentary admission to children under 36 inches in height for Petco Park Tours and Padres games, provided they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

Can I take photos on the tour? Can I bring in a camera?

Yes! Guests are welcome to take photos. Guests are welcome to bring non-professional still cameras and video cameras into Petco Park for their personal use provided the lenses are no longer than 6" long and no extra detachable lenses. Guests must avoid obstructing the views of others when using photography equipment. The San Diego Padres reserve the right to request that guests discontinue filming or taking photographs on ballpark property.

Bags/Backpacks

For enhanced ballpark security and to expedite the entry process for all of our guests, Petco Park will prohibit bags with the exception for single compartment bags measuring 7” x 10” or smaller, infant and medical bags.

Will I be able to buy food and beverages?

No, concession stands are only open during games. Factory-sealed plastic bottled water that is still, clear and unflavored and that is one (1) liter (32 ounces) or less, and soft-sided single juice or milk containers or ADA required liquids in a sealed container are permitted into Petco Park. Guests with disabilities may bring factory-sealed plastic or paper containers that contain liquids required for medical reasons into the ballpark.

I do not see a specific tour time listed under my desired date, is it sold out?

It is most likely that the tour is sold out or we have cancelled the tour due to an event at the ballpark.

Gratuities/Tips

Great service is always complimentary at Petco Park. Guests can demonstrate their appreciation for our staff by emailing [email protected] so that they may be recognized.

Postponed or Canceled Tours

In the event of a postponed or cancelled event, guests will be contacted for updates. Please note for standard pregame and VIP pregame tours that are connected to a delayed game we will make every effort to have the scheduled tour. In the event a game is postponed and rescheduled due to weather and you have a ticket to the game, please refer to our Rainout Policy.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcomed at Petco Park. In keeping with U.S. ADA regulations, disabled guests may use either a dog or miniature horse that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the guest. The work or tasks performed by the service animal must be directly related to the guest's disability. As such, animals that solely provide emotional support or companionship to a guest will not be permitted inside the ballpark.

Pregame Tours

What’s the difference between Standard Daily Tours and Standard Pregame Tours?

Our daily tour is our standard daily tour – no game ticket required. A game ticket is required for our Standard Pregame Tour which is a 90-minute experience and includes up to 30 minutes of watching Padres batting practice from one of our outfield venues. Please note guests who purchase the pregame tour on all fan giveaway days, receive the giveaway item at the start or end of the tour.

Please note, Batting practice is taken at the discretion of both teams’ managers and is not guaranteed and can be cancelled at any time.

What’s the difference between the Standard Pregame Tour and VIP Pregame Tour?

A game ticket is required for all Standard Pregame Tours and VIP Pregame Tours.

The Standard Pregame Tou is a 90-minute experience and includes 30 minutes of watching Padres batting practice from one of our outfield venues.

The VIP Pregame Tour is a 45-minute tour and includes up to 30 minutes of watching Padres batting practice on the warning track in an exclusive corral near Homeplate. Please note autographs are not guaranteed, and all guests are required to abide by the Padres Guest Code of Conduct. Please note no opposing team gear is allowed on VIP Pregame Tours.

Please note, batting practice is taken at the discretion of both teams’ managers and is not guaranteed and can be cancelled at any time. If batting practice does not take place guests will watch player warmups from the corral. We only have VIP Pregame Tours for evening games, not available for early day games.

Standard Pregame Tours & VIP Pregame Tours can be purchased online at Padres.com/tours . Click on the Pregame Tours tab, click on the Buy Tickets, choose your date and then you will have the two choices. If you do not see both options, that tour is probably sold out.

Where do I check in for my Pregame Tour?

Standard Pregame Tours check in at Gaslamp Gates located on 7th Avenue and K Street.

VIP Pregame Tours check in at the Media/VIP Gate located on Park Blvd and Imperial Avenue.

Can I stay in the ballpark after the Pregame Tour?

Yes, you are welcome to stay in the ballpark after the Pregame Tour. If you wish to leave, you will need to have your game ticket Exit scanned to come back in at a later time. On all-fan giveaway days, there is no in-and-out privileges until all giveaways are handed out. If you do leave, you will not be able to come back in until all giveaways are handed out.

Go City Passes

Can I make a reservation for a Go City Pass?

We do not take reservations for Go City Passes, tours are first come, first served. We always have some extra tickets set aside for walkups, so you can simply come to our ticket window up to 30 minutes before the tour you are interested in joining and present pass to scan. Our ticket window is located at the Western Metal Building on 7th Avenue/Tony Gwynn Drive between K and L Streets, right next to the Padres Team Store.
